2009 Day One Hundred Nineteen

It is a beautiful day in the northwest. Sunny on the coolish side with fluffy clouds passing through. At work we all assembled outside this morning around the company's electric car for our group photo. It's a great photo and now is my wallpaper on my work computer monitor.

This morning I got up and got the pot roast all ready for M to cook. The way I cook mine is to cover it with my favorite spices like garlic, montreal steak seasoning and others. I then cover it with mushroom soup. After that I concoct in the can 2 heaping Tbsp of brown gravy mix, a palm full of dried vegetables (sometimes I use dried vegetable soup mix) with hot water. Stir it up and pour over the roast. Bake til tender and it makes the best gravy and moist beef ever.

M took a vacation day today to take his Mom to the doctor, so how convenient for him to be home to cook the roast.

Not much else is going on. American Idol kicked off the one I thought would go. Today on Ellen she is supposed to have Joan and Melissa Rivers to discuss their meltdown after Melissa was booted of Apprentice. And Ugly Betty returns tonight. I love that show.

2009 Day One Hundred Sixteen

I look out and see that the trees are turning green again and some are full of blossoms. My tulips, 6 this year, are blooming. I know spring is here, finally.

Then on the other hand there is so much worry in the world. War, Hate Crimes, Tainted Food Supplies and now Swine Flu. One more worry for the overloaded worry box that I carry inside.

M took me to lunch as he usually does on Mondays, his day off. We went to my favorite chinese place, King Yen. We ordered the Shrimp with vegetables and Chef's special fried rice. So fresh and cooked perfectly.

It clouded up and rained a little bit. Before heading back to work I stopped and made the bank deposit for the company and then for us at the credit union. I had a headache most of the afternoon, finally took some aspirin and it went away. Maybe the world needs a couple of Excederin to help relieve its aches and pains.

Stopped for gas on my way home. Why is gas prices still climbing when a gallon of oil is lower...hmmm....let's see what holiday is coming up? Oh yeah Memorial Day. They have to gouge it up so we can pay a high price for that weekend. I'll just stay home.

I made an orange cake for Angie, our attorney at work. Her birthday is tomorrow. Last birthday for the month.

Hope everyone has a nice Tuesday. I am hoping the rain, snow, snain forecast will be brief.

2009 Day One Hundred Fifteen

Somedays there is nothing blogable to talk about. The only thing worth doing is posting a picture and letting it be.

Nothing earth shattering today either. We have a plumbing leak under my kitchen sink and can't stand the thought of the expense of a plumber. No way am I going to call one on a Sunday. It only leaks when we run water.

I took the dogs to the Yuppy Puppy for baths. Sammie got microchipped.

I am making jewelry again. I stopped for about 3 or 4 months. I'm feeling better so now I have the energy to enjoy being creative again.

It's chilly here today. A mix of sun and clouds, some heavy and dark. It is supposed to rain and even have a rain mix tonight.Same for the most of the week. Thursday looks like it might get back into the 60's.

So that's it for me. Just trying to stay good by eating right and taking my medicine. Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.

2009 Day One Hundred Thirteen Arbor Day

Life is pretty routine for me. I go to work, laugh with friends, visit twitter, play music, sometimes stop for coffee and then come home. But its all good.

Tonight M and I went to Round Table for pizza as we have started to do most Friday nights to celebrate the end of the week, even though he has to work tomorrow.

Tomorrow I am on the hunt for peat pots and Miracle Grow soil so I can start my jalapeno seeds.

Enjoy life.

2009 Day One Hundred Twelve

I love this picture because I want awnings for our house. I think they make a house look charming.

I love having flex pay benefits. All the monies I paid out for doctor visits and prescriptions this week got all paid back to me today. Just so I could turn around and spend it all on presciptions for M. But, I get it all back next Thursday.

I went to the Olive It Cafe for lunch today. It is at the corner of Bridgeport and Crescent in the Hillyard. What an adorable place! Plus they showcase local artists. I was wearing one of my necklaces, and she asked if I wanted to sell some of my jewlery in their restaurant. I may think about doing that.

My package came from HSN. It is the jewlery suitcase I had ordered. I can't wait to fill it up.

Hope everyone has a nice Friday.

2009 Day One Hundred Eleven EARTH DAY

I went to the appointment with the nutritionist this morning. I learned lots of good stuff to help stay on track.

The wind is kicking up and bring in a round of storms. The warm weather was nice while it lasted. No big Earth Day celebrations going on in Spokane, that I know of.

2009 Day One Hundred Nine

Yesterday was cloudy and cool all day. Of course today being Monday and back to work the weather is going to turn perfect. Figures! 74 degrees and we will be stuck inside working. My boss took a perfect day off to go golfing.

The plan so far this morning is lunch with M. After work drop off Spendy payment, pick up prescription and maybe something to BBQ tonight.

2009 One Hundred Eight

Spending the morning up at the cabin on Loon Lake.

2009 Day One Hundred Seven

I've been keeping myself busy today. The weather is sunny and nice with a cool breeze. I've been downstairs most of the afternoon cleaning the bedroom, including closet. Went through all my shoes. I will make a run to the 2nd hand store and drop off quite a few pairs, some brand new.

Spent the morning visiting with BJ before they went up to the lake. We make take a drive up to the lake tomorrow. Perfect day for a drive.

Took out chicken for dinner. Not sure yet how I am going to fix it. I have some fresh broccoli and some hominy. That's as far I have gotten thinking of dinner.

2009 Day One Hundred Six

It's been a great Friday, so far. Work was actually almost fun this morning. A group of about 10 of us went to lunch at Azar's on Monroe. They had set up a buffet of all kinds greek food. It was really good. Not much for atmosphere. But the company was wonderful. Michelle and I got to use our comp time and left at 2:30.

Whe M gets off work this evening we are going out on a date. The plan is to soak in the hottub on our return and then call it an evening. Just another day in paradise.

2009 Day One Hundred Four

Who's idea was it to come in at 5:00 am? Oh yeah, it was mine. What was I thinking? We are not even half done with the project we started this morning. Yuck!

M's daughter BJ with son, Jacob flew in last night. Too bad M went back to work today. The weather is now getting spring-like gorgeous.

So the repoopikins are having their tax protest parties to protest the taxes George Bush put on them over the last eight years, because President Obama has not raised taxes as yet. Can I just say it plain and simple? Idiots! I believe in a flat tax. Everyone from the guy on welfare to the Bill Gates and all those other rich folks pay the same percentage. Wouldn't need the IRS, tax attorneys, accountants or anyone else

2009 Day One Hundred Two

Happy Monday. Looks like a busy week ahead for me. M has strep throat and I am hoping I will not catch it.

Yesterday we did watch one other movie, Marley and Me. What a great movie! We laughed and cried.

I actually sat down at my studio table and created a few pieces. I almost forgot how, but, before long I was immersed.

I hope everyone else has a great start to their week.

2009 Day One Hundred One

Happy Hard Boiled Egg Day. It is overcast here as it usually is on Easter weekend. I forgot to post yesterday. It was a good Saturday. Did stuff around the house. I did make it out to Petco and bought dry dog food. I bought the brand Ellen DeGeneres puts out: Halo - chicken stew flavor. They seems to like it okay as long as you put wet food with it.

I watched the movie Definitely Maybe. A chick flick, so, you know I liked it.

M is still sick, so, we will spend today at home just kicking back. We watched the movie Bolt this morning. What a cute movie. We both enjoyed it very much. I have stuff to keep me busy today. Chores, new book, and earring making.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

2009 Day Ninety Nine

It was such a beautiful day today. I went and did some bead shopping at lunch. Coming back I got to open the sunroof for the first time this season.

They let us go home an hour early. I think we all had spring fever and wanted to escape.

I love Friday nights. I kind of do what I want when I want. There is nothing on tv that interests me tonight. I did get a new book titled Lovely Bones. I've heard from several people that it is a really good book.

Hope everyone had a nice Good Friday.

2009 Day Ninety Eight

I wish everyone was on Twitter. I am having a pretty good time there and the blips are just way too cool. Played my new playlist most of the afternoon.

When I got home from work I watched the movie Baby Mama. Definitely a chick flick so you know I liked it.

2009 Day Ninety Seven

Went back to work today. I actually missed work. I spent the day catching up on emails and terminations. Another beautiful day today. But the weather is cooling down and changing when I got home.

I think it is the blind guy's turn to get booted off Idol. He has no range and really cannot sing. After he's gone it is going to get brutal.

Nothing much else going on today or this evening. Have a great Thursday everybody. It is hard to believe it almost Friday.

2009 Day Ninety Six

I'm home sick for the second day. The weather is beautiful and just wish I felt better so I could go out and enjoy it.

Monday, April 6, 2009

2009 Day Ninety Five

I was able to sleep until 3:30 this morning then woke up coughing. I hope this does not turn into bronchitis. Went to work, but, my boss sent me home.

All I did was go to the Oriental Market for Po Chai pills and to Walgreens for more Nyquil. The rest of the day was spent on the couch watching tv. I may stay home tomorrow also and try and kick this.

My desktop's mother board went out. Good thing for the laptop. It would be tragic if I had no computer at all.

Early night for us. It did get over 60 degrees today. Too bad I spent it inside.

Have a nice evening.

2009 Day Ninety Four

OMGoodness it is springtime outside. Birds chirping and flying all over the backyard, sun is shining, trees are budding. Amazing. Just a few days ago it was snowing. I got out and ran my car through the car wash yesterday. I was afraid that would turn the weather to rain again.

Friday, April 3, 2009

2009 Day Ninety Two

I haven't felt like posting the last few days out of respect for Steve. But here I am.

I got off work early today because I went in early and helped on a project with Deb. It snowed and then turned to rain today. Now it has calmed down and even some sun in peeking through.

My sugar levels are finally going down. Still not feeling like myself, but I'm sure I will rebound sooner or later.

I am cleaning the kitchen this afternoon since it has become a disaster since this all began. I am going to make fresh pico de gallo to go with the breakfast burritos for dinner tonight.

My weekend will consist of staying around the house and getting caught up. I need to go and order and pay for the new kitchen floor tomorrow. I have tons of shows recorded on the dvr.

I hope everyone enjoys their few days off. Did you hear the Sham WOW guy got busted at a prostitution house? We had a good laugh at that.

2009 Day Ninety Happy April Fool's Day

Winter has its claws in use and does not want to let go. I feel this way every beginning of spring. We love when it finally gets here but it is so fleeting when it does finally arrive.
