2008 Day One Hundred Twenty One

Not much went on at work today. After work I stopped at the groomers to buy some dog food but they were closed. They are taking a week's vacation. Good for them. So off the Petco (where the pets go) I bought some of the new food that is on the market called Halo. It is alot like the food they have been eating. I have to be so careful in what I feed lady or she gets red feet. Then to the store, had to buy the cake mix and the pineapple to make Barbara's birthday cake for tomorrow. Then I stopped and Joann's to look for beads.

M works days today, so he will get off work at 7:00. I will have to actually make dinner tonight.

I think it is Jason's turn to be kicked off American Idol. His performances lacked any energy or motivation. I think it will come down to the two David's.

2008 Day Twenty One

My friend Lori emailed me today to urge me to apply for a posting in-house. I may do that tomorrow. I really want to do something different than what I am doing now.

After work I drove downtown to the bank to open Michael's business checking account. I sold 4 necklaces! Now that was a productive meeting.

Neil Diamond is on American Idol tonight. I do not know if I can stay awake to watch it, but, I will definitely record it.

2008 Day One Hundred Twenty

A change is coming. I dreamed of people dying which always means change ahead. I don't know if it is good change or bad. Just change. And don't they always say change is for the good?

The weather today is my 2nd favorite kind of weather cloudy-sunny with a nice warm southern breeze. You know the kind, where you open all the doors and windows and really air out your house.

We took a drive to the milk store (a little dairy outlet that sells milk, butter and jumbo eggs) and took in all the cherry trees blossoming and colorful tulips popping up in everyone's yards. Even my tulips are blooming in abundance this year. I cannot wait to plant my hollyhock seeds, bleeding heart seeds, our salsa garden and my herb garden for this season. And I am going to use one raised bed for white pumpkins for next Halloween. I found the lights to hang around the back patio. Won't be long before we can BBQ and eat out on the deck. I love having weekend breakfast out on the deck. Ray, the yard guy, came last Saturday and did the lawns. Starting to look like spring.

Hope everyone had a nice Monday and wishing everyone a totally awesome Tuesday.

2008 Day One Hundred Eighteen

The sun is shining beautifully today and the weather is going to be super great. I am feeling much better than yesterday. I have shaken off the evilness that surrounded me yesterday and today I am going forward.

I am updating my resume and applying at some jobs that sounded interesting. I have made the decision to leave the call center life. I am also going to design a new business card for Spotted Moose Productions. I am finishing baking the cookies and will get them shipped. (you know who you are) I have decided it is going to be a fabulous two days. The race this week is Talladega, one of our favorites. Go junior!

In honor of Spring has finally Arrived, the site I have chosen to spolight this week is Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.com
I am a true Parrothead and secret pirate and always ready to set sail to Margaritaville at anytime because as you know, It's 5:00 somewhere!

2008 Day One Hundred Seventeen

This was a bad day. You would think at my age I would have figured things out by now. I have always had gypsy feet. Most of my adult life I have constantly moved, never being content to stay in one place too long. I never stay at a job more than 3 years. I've been seeking what I should be doing my entire life. I have had jobs I have loved and jobs I detested.

We have lived in Spokane the longest, since November of 1995. We have moved 4 times since living here. Now we have bought a house and maybe I'm scared because it is so permanent. I love the house, I really do...but I still want to wander from time to time. I can say in the many jobs I have had in Spokane there is not one I have truly enjoyed.

So it is no surprise that I was looking through the classifieds today looking to change again. The sad thing is I think I know what I was born to do, but, am too scared to actually do it. Not enough stability in it. Too many bills and expenses to not be stable.

I have given up the someday I will pull this all together and have a fabulous career. Tomorrow will be a better day.

2008 Day One Hundred Sixteen

It's windy and rainy outside. I drove the truck to work today. We did not go to work out this afternoon. My thumb still really hurts and I was just too tired. Bad, I know.

Got the letter from the sheriff's office. I go to traffic school for the ticket on May 17th. So its a green light to meet the girls at the casino for the Kentucky Derby weekend after next. I was looking at the racing news online today. So far I am liking Denis of Cork, but, that can change day by day till racetime.

Not much going on tonight. It will be an early evening for me. But tomorrow is Friday!

2008 Day One Hundred Fifteen

Another hump day finished. Gosh I do not have another 3 day weekend until May 19th. Seems like forever. It was busy so time did zip by.

After work I drove downtown to the bank. Robin was not there and won't be back till Monday, so, I will have to wait till Monday to open M's business account. Driving in town with all the road repairs is a real challenge. It will make it a long summer with all the road closures.

American Idol I am still pulling for David Cook. Carly did an excellent job and so did Syesha. I missed the other David's song. I'm thinking it will be Brooke who will get the boot this week. She's just is not ready for the big time.

If you want to chat, come to the phyre

2008 Day One Hundred Fourteen

I survived the gym. I have made a gym date with a friend from work every Tuesday and Thursday. We biked and then walked around the indoor track about 60 times. I haven't really excercised since November. Bad hu? Well I am getting back to it.

The weather is almost nice. At least no snow. I just stopped by home to let the dogs out. I still have some errands to run, but will be back to finish this post.

****
Back from all the running around town. Lorna emailed me pictures of the open house display. Here is a picture of some of my necklaces.

2008 Day One Hundred Thirteen

I drove the truck today. That is alot different from the KIA. But it was a nice change. Alot more powerful.

It is snowing again today. Not sticking, but snowing. I have decided we are in an ice age and it will never end.

Absolutely nothing else happening in my life today...just thought I would post some pictures. If I think of anything I will be back.

2008 Day One Hundred Twelve

It is sunny this morning but with a few flurries here and there. It will become to warm to snow today.

Yesterday was a little disappointing. I sold 3 necklaces. Only 4 people showed. But on the upside the display was incredible. We now know when we do this again, maybe at a craft show where we have an audience that is there to look and buy, we will know how to set up. It was fun and we laughed and talked all day.

Today is house chore day. Laundry, floors, dusting and all that kind of stuff. I do plan on fitting in some beading, movie watching, NASCAR race watching and visiting with my sister-in-law and her husband.

6:01 pm - It is snowing. I guess I lied when I said it was going to be too warm to snow. No NASCAR race to watch today, did not do any beading but did visit with M's sister and husband. And I did get my craft room cleaned up and organized just to be messed up again.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Another work week ahead. Wishing you peace and love.

2008 Day One Hundred Eleven

Today is the day of the open house. So far no rain or snow. I will come back and post afterwards and tell how it went.

I have chosen a link this week for an organization I would like to join someday. They offer some good information on their website.
Metaphysical Research Society

2008 Day One Hundred Ten

I sold a necklace at work today. That was fun. Barb was off, so no singing our oldie and moldy songs today. Alot of people including supervisors are out sick. I need to wear a mask. I hope I do not get what is floating around our building.

After work I came home and beaded for a little bit an fed the dogs. Then I left to go to Safeway and buy the veggie tray. Then onto Lorna's to help her set up for tomorrow. After showing her my jewlery she told me to raise my prices. So I am going to try.

It is getting cold. They say more snow. I hope they are wrong. On my drive home from Lorna's I stopped at Papa Murphy's and bought pizza for M and I for tonight. I just do not feel like cooking. Take and bake is the way to go.

Now I can relax and maybe take a nap and wait for M to come home from work. I'm asking everyone please keep sending good thoughts of luck that I will sell lots of my jewelry tommorow.

2008 Day One Hundred Nine

Another beautiful Spring day here in the northwest. But changes are coming for the weekend.

M picked up the truck. The repairs they made were a great improvement. He also went by to see Dr Phil and looks like he has a disconnected shoulder. No wonder he has been in such pain. There is a calcium buildup that may require surgery. But at least now we know what it is and it can be fixed.

After work I went to the library as I do most Thursdays. I had lots of books on reserve. Mostly brand new released craft and cook books. There is also a book about dog's health and a book called Feather My Nest. These were the books on my book list at BOMC2 . I thought if I check them out at the library I can look them over and see if I still want to buy them. On my way home I stopped at Walmart and got a few things we needed.

Thumb still hurts. Just as bad as the day I fell off the chair. Sucks but I will live.

Its such a nice day I took Sammie for a ride. We drove over to Dutch Brothers and got a coffee. He was happy for the ride but I think was more happy when we got home. Speaking of coffee, our first shipment of Gevalia coffee came today. Good thing because we were out of "good" coffee. We also got the promotional item they were offering. A travel pack.

The birds are flocking to our feeder. I love watching birds. When we lived in Murray, Kentucky we had an open patio with a redwood picnic table. It was always too hot and muggy to spend much time outside. So Michael fixed the table up as a giant bird feeder. We had a large picture window that faced the back of the house, so, I could sit and watch the birds for hours. I kept a book for a long while listing all the species of birds that I saw come feed.

Almost Friday...

2008 Day One Hundred Eight

Enjoyed a beautiful spring day today. Sunny with temperature at 50 degrees. Nice.

Read Jacqueline's cards today. I passed out the flyer for the open house. Went downstairs and visited Lori. I suggested we should do an open house to sell her beautiful cards and my jewlery. She was all for it.

After work I went to Joann's for their 40% off bead sale. I went and picked M up from the airport. I'm happy he is home safe and sound. Our pack is back to normal.

I enjoyed talking at the phyre tonight with my blog pals. Tomorrow is library day. I have quite a few books waiting on reserve for me to pick up. More beading to do also.

2008 Day One Hundred Seven

How can it be 71 degrees just a few days ago and snowing this morning? Is it a cruel joke?

This afternoon M's Mom had to go to the doctor. She hasn't been feeling well for 2 weeks. I watched their dog Angel. I then had to go and pick M up at work and take him to the airport. He is going over to Bellevue until tomorrow night.

Lorna called tonight to let me know all the preparations for Saturday's Open House. I need to bring a veggie tray and a large cream color tablecloth. We are going to get together Friday night to set up.

2008 Day One Hundred Six

What a difference a day makes. Woke up to rain and much cooler weather. But, I'm off work! I love 3 day weekends.

We are taking the dogs to the groomer this morning. Yesterday we went to Kmart and I bought a new bird feeder and birdseed. Whenever it stops raining we are going to fill it and hang it because we have so many birds this year. Next weekend we will re-scent the wasp traps and try and catch the queens when they come out.

With the rain outside this will be a good day to stay in and continue beading. We may even have the last fire in the fireplace.

2008 Day One Hundred Four

Today is Raelee's funeral. Of course I am going, even if I hate funerals. When I die I do not want a funeral or service. I have chosen cremation. M and I to be put in the same urn probably along with the pups and then have DK sprinkle us in Ireland or Lake Powell.

My other plans for today is to get the things I need for the craft open house for next weekend and to work on making as many necklaces as I can this weekend.

I am playing along this week.

I am avid believer in ghosts and the hereafter. I thought this link might be appropriate with what all is going on in my life today.

Weather-wise it is going to be a beautiful Spring day here in the northwest. Good day to air out the house.

I did get Jiffy, my car, cleaned insude and out, services and gased up. She is already to be taken out for an adventure.

2008 Day One Hundred Three

I am so happy it is Friday! I am heading into a three day weekend. The weather was scrumptous today and only to get better over the weekend.

After work I came home and paid bills and did the grocery shopping. Left over tamales tonight, so no dinner to make. That will give me plenty of time to do some beading. I need to make as many necklaces i can for next weekend's open house.

Hope everyone has a fun Friday night.

2008 Day One Hundred Two

They put up a third wall to my cubical. I know it gives more privacy, but, it feels like a horse stall. On my last 1/2 hour of work Brenda, one of the supervisors, came and sat with me. They are sitting with a many of us to see how we maneuver through all the screens. She was happy to see that I am a toggler. I love to toggle between screens. At first it was a little nerve wracking, but I survived.

After work I stopped at the Yuppy Puppy and got some foo foo dog food for the pups. I then ventured on to DeLeon's Mexican Deli. I bought a dozen tamales and some chile rellenos. That answered the question of whats for dinner. M can take the rest with him for lunches.

I watched this week's episode of Hells Kitchen. The only one I am hopeful for is Corey, the blonde on the girls team. The rest are just icky. Last night I watched Tuesday's Idol. I think it will be Iesha or maybe even Carly that will be gone.

2008 Day One Hundred One

Another busy day at work. Nothing much went on. It was Jim's birthday. My thumb is still really sore. What a stupid accident.

After work when I got home to meet a roofing guy for an estimate I was surprised to see my old friend, Sue's husband Vince there at the house. I haven't seen Sue in a few years. We talked to get caught up what is happening in their life and he gave me an estimate.

After he left I filled out the application for traffic school and drove down to the courthouse where the sheriff's office is and signed up for the class. The clerk said they would send me a letter in about 2 weeks with the date of the class which will be held at the Jr College.

Enjoyed talking with friends at the phyre tonight. Had to leave the conversation early because M is still working the early shift and I had to get dinner ready.

2008 Day One Hundred

Today was not as bad as I thought it would be. It was strange that Raelee is gone. Someone had put a nice vase of flowers on her desk with a card and note saying that she would be missed. Yes, she surely will be.

I talked with Jacqueline who has sat next to Raelee for 10 years. I have briefly chatted with Jacqueline many mornings, but, today I was amazed to see how kindred we are. She understands when I talk about what we "see". Today's conversation was very interesting.

My thumb still hurts, but I can tell it is getting better. When I got home I found a roofing guy's business card stuck in the back screen door. I'm so glad I made an appointment for after 2:00 when I am home from work. Only left the card - no estimate.

M is working days today, so he should be home by 7:00. For the next 3 days he will be working this shift. Very cool. American Idol and Hells Kitchen is on tonight. I'll watch one and then record the other. I plan on doing some beading - staying in the chair this time! Should be a nice evening.

2008 Day Ninety Nine

This morning we finished out taxes and looks like we will get about $440.00 back as a refund. First refund in 20 years! We plan on buying a new spa cover with this wonderful surprise.

Because of my dorky episode my right hand is swollen and blue. I took the day off from work to go to Urgent Care and have my hand xray'ed to be sure I did not break anything. Nothing broken. I saw my friend from work Joanna and her daughter Jade at the clinic. She gave me the bad news that a friend that I have just started to get to know died on Saturday night. Her mother was visiting from out of town and found her lying dead in her living room. No one knows right now what she died from. Raelee was only 38 years. She called me sister. We shared a love of cookbooks. I really liked her and was looking foward to getting to know her better. I will miss her upbeat personality and cheerful banter in the mornings. So sad. It will be strange when I return to work tomorrow and she will be gone. The funeral is tomorrow.

From the clinic we stopped at Les Schwab Tires. I had a screw in my front tire and it was low. They fixed the tire but did not charge us anything. Amazing in this day and age. Went to the bank and signed papers for the loan.

To cheer me up M took me to Round Table Pizza for lunch. The pizza there is so good!
The weather is springlike crazy. Sunny-Rainy-Hailing-Sunny-Windy-Cold. Just a mixed up day weatherwise.

I'm still depressed about Raelee. So vibrant and alive one day and then gone the next. Death has always been hard for me to make sense of. I believe in reincarnation and I know she will rise to a higher level closer to Nirvana.

Peace and Love to all my friends. Thank you for your kindness, your friendship and love. Always. Slainte
