2009 Day Eighty

It's a cloudy and gray day in Spokane today. I'll be busy cleaning the kitchen and other rooms. Everything needs a good scubbing. I have finally decided what I want to do with the kitchen. We bought black appliances since buying the house. I want to paint the kitchen a very lightest pink with a white ceiling. For the floor I am looking for linoleum that looks like old pink brick. I have a wall behind the sink that I want the look of old paint where it looks like brick is coming through. I'm still deciding on the material for the curtain for our back door which is almost all window and what to do with the cabinets. So it is kind of coming together.

I am making pot roast for dinner. Seems like good warm comfort food for a gloomy day. I also need to go and buy a copy of Turbo Tax so we can do our taxes.

Food Journal: Oatmeal with 2 splenda packets and glass of milk.

Careful! Cleaning and scrubbing the kitchen left me out of work for two months.

Your idea for the kitchen sounds wonderful. You have your three colors for the kitchen--black, white and light pink. That's the palette to pick from for the cabinets. Whatever you choose must a) form a contrast with your counters, I think, and b) will become the dominant color with the other two being accent colors.

I do my taxes with Turbo Tax Online. It's easier since it keeps copies of your tax returns that can be accessed anywhere from any computer and is cheaper. IMO.

I like pot roast. I'm doing a creamy chicken casserole for dinner tonight.
My kitchen is pink with grey floors.

Coffee is on.

Hi, Linda!

We're going to go to a motorcycle show in Anchorage for a while. Then I guess I'll try to do something magical with chicken thighs and carrots. ;)

Have a beautiful Sunday.

Gorgeous choice of photo and music. It was howling wind this morning and then hail this afternoon. Both events freak my dog out so I had to give him an amytriptoline. No guess on the spelling and too lazy to look on the pill bottle.

Pot roast sounds so good. And I love the plans for your kitchen. Very cool '50s.
