2009 Day Thirteen

Yesterday everyone at work was just doggone worn out, including me. Not sure why, we were busy as always, but everyone was just tired.

M came and took me out to lunch like he does most Mondays. We tried someplace new. We went to Working Class Heroes on North Monroe. It is a cute bar and grill. Nice and clean. Each table had their own mini television and they were playing a local radio station with music from the eighties. They serve regular pub food. Remember I like all the wierd foods, so I had one of my favorite bar foods - fried gizzards and criss cross fries which were perfect. M had the fish and chips. We met the owner who came around to make sure we liked our lunch and told us about the nightly dinner specials they serve. Too bad M works nights. So any Spokanites that want to try a good place to go we recommend this one.

It was damp and foggy all day yesterday, maybe that is why everyone was kind of down. But it wasn't snowing and there is no snow forecasted for the rest of the week. I plan to mail some packages today, since I can actually make it to the post office at noon.

We watched the last episode from last season of Burn Notice. So now we are ready for the new season to begin on Jan 22nd. It is such a great show.

The Spotted Moose cafe will be serving potatoes au gratin and ham with sliced tomatoes and garlic rolls on the side tonight.

I don't what it was about yesterday. I couldn't say I was ill but I sure could tell it was Monday.
Anyhow I would explain it as a hangover with out the alcohol.

I haven't been in pub and have a bit to eat for ages but it does sound like fun.

Coffee is on.

I found a new favorite place tonight myself. Shiki Sushi in Durham. they've got kind of a sliding-scale 2-for-1 every night. It's weird how they work it, but hey... anywhere else you'd be paying for all of it and the prices aren't artifically inflated (any more than anywhere ele) to compensate. I got out a few bucks cheaper than normal.

It was 4:30 this afternoon when I realized it was only Tuesday... What a disappointment. So I can relate to your work fatigue thing. Seems like there's a lot of that going around everywhere.

The beach shot of the tree was actually taken in September, it's just the black and white that makes it look like winter. That's one of the closer beaches to me... about 125 miles.

Glad it's finally quit snowing there at least. Maybe you'll catch a break now.

gizzards no but the dinner menu sounds like the kind of comfort food i could dive into!

i always think about weather and moods at work. When I look out my office window and it's all gray and ugly I don't get near as much done
