2008 Day Ninety Nine

This morning we finished out taxes and looks like we will get about $440.00 back as a refund. First refund in 20 years! We plan on buying a new spa cover with this wonderful surprise.

Because of my dorky episode my right hand is swollen and blue. I took the day off from work to go to Urgent Care and have my hand xray'ed to be sure I did not break anything. Nothing broken. I saw my friend from work Joanna and her daughter Jade at the clinic. She gave me the bad news that a friend that I have just started to get to know died on Saturday night. Her mother was visiting from out of town and found her lying dead in her living room. No one knows right now what she died from. Raelee was only 38 years. She called me sister. We shared a love of cookbooks. I really liked her and was looking foward to getting to know her better. I will miss her upbeat personality and cheerful banter in the mornings. So sad. It will be strange when I return to work tomorrow and she will be gone. The funeral is tomorrow.

From the clinic we stopped at Les Schwab Tires. I had a screw in my front tire and it was low. They fixed the tire but did not charge us anything. Amazing in this day and age. Went to the bank and signed papers for the loan.

To cheer me up M took me to Round Table Pizza for lunch. The pizza there is so good!
The weather is springlike crazy. Sunny-Rainy-Hailing-Sunny-Windy-Cold. Just a mixed up day weatherwise.

I'm still depressed about Raelee. So vibrant and alive one day and then gone the next. Death has always been hard for me to make sense of. I believe in reincarnation and I know she will rise to a higher level closer to Nirvana.

Peace and Love to all my friends. Thank you for your kindness, your friendship and love. Always. Slainte

*hugs* I'm sorry about your friends.

The Les Schwab here seems really easy going and nice. We've had some wonderful experiences with them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.
Was having a conversation with Christina after we got the news about Sister2 and it all boiled down to no one knows how many days we have in this world.
So lets enjoy them while we can!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend from work dying. What a tragedy, and she was so young. I take death very hard also. It is just so final, and it takes me a long time to get over losing someone.
