2008 Day One Hundred Four

Today is Raelee's funeral. Of course I am going, even if I hate funerals. When I die I do not want a funeral or service. I have chosen cremation. M and I to be put in the same urn probably along with the pups and then have DK sprinkle us in Ireland or Lake Powell.

My other plans for today is to get the things I need for the craft open house for next weekend and to work on making as many necklaces as I can this weekend.

I am playing along this week.

I am avid believer in ghosts and the hereafter. I thought this link might be appropriate with what all is going on in my life today.

Weather-wise it is going to be a beautiful Spring day here in the northwest. Good day to air out the house.

I did get Jiffy, my car, cleaned insude and out, services and gased up. She is already to be taken out for an adventure.

Mom was cremated and last year Dad and Sister2 spread her ashes at Mo Ranch in the hill country in Texas.

Hope your weekend is going well.

My Dad was cremated, he didn't want a funeral or memorial service, but we a lot of community pressure to do something... so we ended up having a "Celebration of Life" service, where people got to get up and talk... we sang hymns, and had a potluck afterwards... the church was packed, and I think he would have enjoyed it. We took his ashes to the ocean and scattered them a few months later, since that was his favorite places. Services can be so diverse, a good way to grieve as a community and say goodbye.
