2008 Day One Hundred Twenty Three

I left work at 7:30 this morning. My thumb was throbbing and it was a beautiful day, so I took a sick day. Before I left I sold 3 necklaces to Nancy, 1 to Jacqueline and one to Kim. I confirmed with Joanna that we are still on tomorrow to meet up at the casino for the Kentucky Derby and lunch.

Came home and beaded for a bit. The tax stimulus was automatically deposited into our account today. I drove downtown and took M to lunch. We tried the Boulevard BBQ. It was okay, nothing to write home about - just so so. But it was nice having lunch with M on a gorgeous Friday noon. After lunch I drove him back to his truck so he could go onto work. I stopped at the bank, since I was downtown. There was alot of people downtown because the city's annual marathon, Bloomsday, is Sunday.

I went over to the mailbox place and picked one of the books I had ordered off Amazon. The book is titled A String & A Prayer (Create and use prayer beads...for endings and beginnings...for the needy and the lonely...for families and world leaders...for healing...for peace...for everyday.

Lorna came over and spent the afternoon showing how to make earrings. I made a pair to match the necklace I made this morning.

All and all it was a good day.

Hi Linda,

I don't see how you work with your thumb thropping like that. Gosh, I hope it's better by the time you read this.

Loved the pictures.
