This week's theme is Delicious
Looking out at my covered up BBQ while the winds blows and the cold rain falls my mind drifts back to the sights and smells of a delicious summer.
Yesterday Sammie, my little male Shihtzu, wasn't feeling up to par. He wasn't begging which is a quick tip he wasn't feeling good. Plus he asked for me to hold him. He definitely wasn't himself. His stomach was hard but, his nose was cool. By this morning he was feeling himself again and by afternoon he was back to his old self. Whew!
I did absolutely pretty much nothing all day. I did take M to work. The chinook that we are having has melted all the snow on the roads, so they were dry. The weather was mild but windy. I did go to the library and return books. I picked up a new book to read. Amy Tan's Saving Fish From Drowning. I loved her previous books, so I am looking forward to starting this one. I also got an interesting book called Paper Jewlery. I saw a project for small paper lanterns earrings I would like to make. From the library I ventured onto Walmart to restock on a few things. Along with all the household stuff I bought, I bought a new fish tank for Jack the fish, the most spoiled Beta in the world. I also picked up some more cool beading supplies including silver angel beads and silver and gold butterfly beads.
The folks came home from the lake today. I went over and was treated to a wonderful steak dinner with all the trimmings. It was perfect. She grilled the steaks with fresh garlic on the Jennaire. After posting the steak picture on the blog, it really hit the spot. She sent home enough leftovers for M for a complete dinner when he gets home. So the bonus was I did not have to cook.

*drools*.....oh how I long for meat on a grill! I can't wait until it's not single digits outside so we can do some of that :)
Great pic!
