2008 Day One Hundred Thirty Three

My dog groomer blew me and the pups off today. We had an appointment for today which was one week longer than usual because they went on vacation. She did not write the appointment in the book. M talked with her this morning and she was indifferent. We have been taking our dogs to her for about 9 years. I called the owner when I got off work and got the same indifferent attitude from her. She made their next appointment at a very inconvenient time for me. I know, I'm spoiled. I think sometimes a business gets more business and then forgets who was there when they weren't so busy. So next Thursday afternoon I made an appointment at the new dog grooming place just at the end of my street. With the price of gas, maybe this will be much better than driving clear across town, 4 times. This new place I can walk the dogs there and back. While I was at it I made appointments for both to get their shots this week.

Sad news today, Jack the dog, the much traveled and loved, M's sister's dog has passed away from cancer. I am truly sorry C & R. He sure will be missed.

I love my dogs as if they were my children. They give so much love and ask for so little in return.

Speaking of children, I talked with DK (aka Gideon) yesterday and he has announced he is tired of California and is moving back to Spokane. Probably around June. He will firm up his plans by the end of the month.

Hi Linda,

I hope you had a good Mother's Day. Good for you for changing dog groomers. I hope you like the new one as well as you did the one you had been taking the dogs to for so many years.

I will get back to blogging soon. Just have a lot of catching up to do here at home after being gone for a week.

I am thrilled you are taking your doggie business elsewhere...they do not deserve your patronage.

Many hugs...please call me as soon as you get a chance.
