2008 Day One Hundred Twenty Two

Today was Barbara's birthday. I made and brought her a pineapple cake. She is taking tomorrow off. Lucky girl. I sold 2 necklaces today.

After work Teresa and I went and worked out. I drove her home and then headed to an appointment I had with Dr. Phil. He had pulled up my xrays from the clinic and said for me to come see him asap. He looked at my thumb, which has gotten worse over the past few days. He yanked on it twice to try and pull it back into place. It hurt so bad it brought tears to my eyes. He said to go home and soak it in a bowl of ice water. I have to go back 2 more times to manipulate it back into place. It is a little better but it still really hurts.

When I left there I went to Dutch Brothers and bought M and I a coffee. Took it to him and swapped cars.

DK called. He said that the government claimed his tax return, but then, a day later a recruiter called and said if he would re-enlist they could get that back for him. He said his friend had something similar happen to him, it seems that some his wife's green card papers disappeared and then he got a call a day later from a recruiter saying if he re-enlisted they could clear that matter up for him. Is this how they are going to get fresh troops? Makes you wonder.

Well I need to go and ice my thumb.

Hi Linda,

Gosh, you sure are having a time with that thumb. I hope it heals soon. I know you're tired of the pain.

I've never had a pineapple cake, but it sounds delicious. I'll bet it was super moist.
